Stepping On is a free service offered to those who are at risk of having a fall or have a history of falls. Having a fall can significantly decrease your confidence to mobilise around the community or in your home. Stepping On is a community-based falls prevention program in which participants share stories, listen to guest speakers and perform strengthening & balance-based exercises.

The aim of the program is to equip you with knowledge, self-management tools and exercises in order to be confident and stronger when walking and mobilising. Topics discussed throughout the program include: falls & risks, strength & balance, home hazards, safe footwear, community mobilisation, vision, coping after a fall and how medication can affect your balance.

The program takes place over 7 weeks and is followed up by a 2-month booster session. Our program is run on Wednesday’s, between 10-12am.
